Here is a nice estate item not many S&W people know about unless you lived in the Reading, PA area. #976 of 2060 made in 1989 commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Carpenter Technology for its employees and retirees. (CarTect was a BIG supplier to S&W of Stainless Steel and other metals.) Handgun is laser etched with finger grooved S&W grips, red insert front and white outline rear adjustable sights, smooth combat target trigger and target hammer. S&W Code # 103604 / Special order 2442. Complete package includes 629, S&W wood display case, original boxes w/matching label, Commemorative hand book, manual, cleaning kit and original copy of article from the Reading Eagle newspaper announcing the gun – see photos.
