Here is a slick finished, smooth functioning tactical shotgun manufactured on the order of the Benelli Nova Tactical. Manufacturer is Kral Arms of Konya, Republic of Turkey. Importer and warrantor is Century Arms. Model is Catamount HD-12, Century number SG2117. Type is slide or pump action tactical shotgun. This Cobra has an innovative assisted return, it is almost a semi-automatic. The Cobra is every bit as slick, or even slicker finished than their rivals, Turkish made on Italian machinery, and their smoothness, fit and finish outrank even the standard production Mossbergs. The only deficiency we notice on their finish is some roughness to the lettering on the barrels. Construction is steel barrel, magazine tube, bolt assembly and internal parts with a strong light weight alloy receiver and sight hardware. Trigger guard assembly is high impact polymer. Caliber is 12 gauge, 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch interchangeably, with 4 + 1 Capacity on 2 3/4 inch, or 3 + 1 on 3 inch shells. Barrel length is 18 1/2 inches with raised blade front sight, and Benelli threaded muzzle. .722 Cylinder Tube is included. We have installed a polymer heat shield. Safety is push button behind the .240 smooth faced blue steel trigger. Shell carrier is slotted steel. Weight empty is a light but well balanced 6 pounds 6 ounces, with center of gravity beneath the extractor. Overall length is 38 7/8 inches. Forend is serrated injection molded black polymer with integral 7 slot Picatinny Rail. Buttstock body is conventional black polymer with 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 drop, 3/4 inch right hand cast, checkered pistol grip laterals and 1 inch recoil pad. Length of pull measures 14 5/8 inches from the trigger face to the end of the buttpad. Blue steel swivel studs are included as the photos show. Finish is a very smooth, weather-resistant matte blue. This Catamount comes to us from Century’s Distribution system. Surface detractions are negligible to minimal, only faint forend contact rubs on the receiver. We rate it as unfired and near mint in box. It comes it its original box and serialized hang tag that says, This is a New Firearm. This shotgun is now discontinued.
