The suspended handguard keeps your grip and accessories from weighing on the barrel and with the help of the wedge block, reduces stress and flex in the barrel extension area. This ensures both extreme rigidity and accuracy by directing stress risers toward the upper assembly’s strongest, most reinforced materials. The Predator upper receiver features the sleeker hunter/sniper modular "M"-rail design that allows for use of larger objective scopes. This 11.5" black anodized "M"-rail allows you to keep the handguard slim and light weight or customize the sections (included: 2/ 5-slot & 1/12-slot detachable rail sections)on the handguard for any additional accessories. CNC machined 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum alloy Matte Black anodized anti-reflection/glare for Stealth and silicon nickel plated on the receiver’s interior. Nothing sticks to this surface and it is self lubricating. We chose the ARP 18" 6.5 Grendel/264LBC Premium Match Barrel with helical flutes and Melonite(QPQ) finnish. SPECS: 4150 CMV(11595E steel) mid profile (QPQ) treated barrel with Hybrid 5R rifling (1 in 8.5 twist), M4 feed ramps, mid length gas system, and 5/8-24 muzzle threads. The 4150 CMV(11595E)steel Melonite(QPQ) treated barrel will last twice as long as stainless barrels (60 rockwell VS 28-30 of the stainless) and the final finish meets or exceeds stainless steel corrosion resistance.(we have been seeing 1/4" groups from these barrels)* Note:These barrels shoot either the 6.5 Grendel or 264LBC ammo.
