This wonderful Python has standard markings and features, including a fixed front sight, adjustable rear sight, wide checkered hammer, ribbed trigger and 3RD variation checkered walnut grips with gold finish Colt medallions. The Colt Python is known for quality and precision. It has a reputation for being “the finest production revolver ever made”. This Python example retains 99% original blue finish with a light cylinder drag line. The grips are excellent with a few light handling marks and sharp checkering. Colt wood grained replacement box is new with end label serialized to the revolver. Complete with owner’s manual and papers. We believe that this Python may have been fired after leaving the factory. See the image of the cylinder face that shows light firing rings. We have seen similar markings on other Pythons sold as new but since we can’t be sure, we will offer this example as used but in “as new” condition.
