Made in 1957, serial number 9960SA is an early second generation revolver featuring a 7.5-inch barrel and plastic grips. CONDITION: Likely unfired since leaving the factory. The grips are stamped Colt and numbered to match the frame. The cylinder is marked "863". The bore is stunning, strong and bright with no evidence of use. Bluing is approximately 99 percent. Colors are vivid, with occasional minor spots of tarnish mostly on the top strap. Grips are absent issue. Mechanics are proper, with four distinct notches, tight cylinder and smooth trigger pull. BOX: The one-piece black box with correct end label (blank serial on label, serial in pencil on the bottom) is in fair condition with separating lid. An operation manual, safety instruction letter and brown tissue are included. The price is firm and layaway is available.
