SN#10024X antique. Made in 1895. Rifle papers correctly per Cody. I have a copy. 40-82 caliber with a suprisingly great bore which I would rate a solid 7.5-8 out of 10. Stock is solid w a small cracks near the buttplate do to dryness. The fore arm has a crack at the 6 o clock position which is common but is solid and attractive. stock has a surprising amount of varnish. The rifle was obiously to a gunsmith at one time as it has a new mag tube and spring. Correct sights, tight clean action. Reciever has some pitting on the bottom of the reciever where you carry the rifle but it's not horrible. If you think back to the prom, she might be your 3rd choice but she is a great dancer and lots of fun in the limo! Overall a nice clean rifle with original finish and has a nice bore . The 86 SRC is a cornerstone to any collection. They have always been pricy and they keep going up in value. I think this is the most affordable '86 SRC that papers correctly available today.
