The total cost of the base rifle and all custom improvements and add-ons is well over $1,500 ... so this is a real bargain for the discerning hunter or collector. The LNIB basic rifle is a Remington Model 700 CDL SF in .35 Whelen. This is the Limited Edition run, which has the engraved floor plate (see photos). Hammer-forged barrel is fluted to trim weight. Has a Super Cell recoil pad and X-Mark Pro trigger. I had this rifle customized by Red Hawk Rifles of Grand Junction, Colorado (), and here’s the work list:> The beautiful CDL American Walnut stock is bedded for accuracy; > Bolt is spiral fluted; > Threaded Red Hawk radial muzzle break; > Matching, fluted thread cap. The rifle is topped with a Leupold VX-1 3-9X 40mm scope mounted in Talley one-piece mounts, with Butler Creek caps. Remington and Leupold factory papers included. Total weight of the complete package pictured is 7.8 lbs. (empty). Barrel length is 24”, and 26” with muzzle break. Why am I selling it? Bought this for an elk hunt that fell through, so I went in a new direction.
