Here is Beretta’s A300 Outlander 24 incher dressed in camo. Manufacturer and warrantor is Beretta USA of Accokeek, MD, from U.S. and Italian Parts. Type is gas operated semi automatic shotgun. Construction is steel barrel with chrome lined bore, and chrome plated steel parts, with coated alloy receiver and trigger group; and with graphite based synthetic stock and forend. Magazine tube and parts are steel. Chambering is 12 gauge, 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells interchangeably. Barrel is 24 inch Mobil-Choke®, with .685 Full, .702 Modified, and .715 Improved Cylinder tubes. Other tubes are readily available throughout the country. The Outlander is Not back bored and its full tube is Not intended for use with Steel Shot. Sight system is 8 post .230 smooth top matte Ventilated Rib that sits .240 above the barrel at the gas port lugs. Sights are Tru-Glo high visibility green fiber optic front, with twin red fiber optic rear for a 3 dot sight picture. Magazine tube proper measures 8 1/2 inches, so 2 + 1 capacity with the magazine tube block in place, or 3 + 1 with the block removed. This shotgun is 300 action, not capable of receiving a magazine tube extension. Trigger housing is polymer, with a .275 smooth faced stainless trigger. Safety is reversible crossbolt type, mounted forward of the trigger. Trigger pull on the photo specimen gauged at 4 3/4 pounds, with minimal felt creep and overtravel. Finish is dip process Realtree Xtra green camo, with exception of black matte bolt, cap, and trigger. Buttstock length of pull is 14 3/8 inches from the trigger face to the end of the factory 3/4 inch black rubber recoil pad. Buttstock is standard drop of 1 1/2 inches at the comb and 2 1/2 at the rear, with a 3/4 inch right hand cant. Installed shim, visible in the photos, is a factory C-DX-65; Beretta shims numbers C-DX-50, C-SX-50, and C-SX-65 are available for altering the drop and cant. The Outlander is one of very few right side ejecting shotguns that can become southpaw friendly. Weight empty is 7 pounds 5 ounces with center of gravity at the bolt handle. Each A300 Outlander comes in its factory box with instruction manual, factory registration papers and warranty statement, cable lock, tube and wrench set, extra recoil pad shims, and protective papers.
