This listing is for the exact pistol in the photos. Here is one of Smith & Wesson's best ever, numbered model 469 or simply, the Mini. From its serial number prefix, it was manufactured in 1988, final year of production before the 6904 took its place. This pistol served in the Land of Israel with the Mishteret Y'Israel, the civilian police. Type is hammer fired, locked breech semi automatic pistol. Construction is matte blue carbon steel slide assembly and internal parts combined with a lightweight alloy frame. Barrel is distinctive ball joint muzzle for consistency and accuracy. Bore is 5 groove right hand 1:18.75 stainless, 3 1/2 inch. Slide has serrations forward of the safety levers, .925 width. Note the full length steel guide rod. Sights are slide integral serrated low profile bar front and round shouldered dovetailed black anodized white outline rear. Frame is square serrated face trigger guard with serrated front strap. Safety is ambidextrous slide mounted main safety and decocker. Magazine safety insures the pistol will NOT fire single shot if the magazine is removed. Grips are original thin black polymer. Trigger is .304 smooth faced, with matching .265 Bobbled Hammer. Double action trigger pull is smooth and consistent, 12 pound vicinity; and the single action pull measures about 6 pounds with minimal felt creep. Magazine is steel bodied factory 12 round; so capacity is 12+1 rounds of 9mm Luger caliber ammunition. The 469 will digest anything from lead head reloads to steel case to premium ammunition, unlike its Glock and Sig competitors. Magazines interchange between models 469, 669, 6906 and similar. This and any of the small double stacked pistols will accept 5900 series magazines. Frame thickness is 1.02 inch. Overall length is 6 7/8 inches from muzzle to grip frame strut, with a height of 5 1/2 inches from the top of the rear sight to the end of the finger rest magazine floor plate. Weight empty is 26.5 ounces, with center of gravity at the magazine release. Finish is stainless barrel, matte blued slide, levers, trigger, and guide rod; semi gloss anodized frame; and matching semi gloss grips. Surface detractions are moderate, principally edge wear. We rate it as Very Good, close to Excellent, 85 percent vicinity by our estimate; but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. We estimate this pistol has been fired fewer than 1500 times for annual qualification, no rounds at all for a 469 Smith & Wesson.
