I have had this carbine for over 40 years. Used in my performance as the historic character Dr. John Henry Holliday. I have never fired it, live or blanks.
It shows its age of 153 years. No blue left, barrel markings mostly gone. The magazine tube is moved back about 1/4 inch. (came to me that way). The bore is black powder pitted and no longer "glows". The action is good but the sear is worn and it's a bit hair triggered. Nice patina. The wood is good, no cracks or chips. I think it's all original. Cody letter shows no info. It's a very nice wall hanger, maybe more? I'll send it in a plastic gun case, boxed. Sold "as is", no warranty, no return. I have an antique saddle scabbard for it, that I will get listed later.
