Here is a Turkey Thugs edition of Mossberg’s new SA20 series semi automatic shotgun chambered in 20 gauge. Manufacturer is Kayhan Art, or Khan, of Konya, Republic of Turkey. Importer and warrantor is Mossberg International of Eagle Pass, Texas. Type is gas operated semi-automatic shotgun. Construction is steel barrel, bolt, and internal parts housed in a lightweight alloy receiver and trigger group housing. Stock and forend are high impact matte black graphite based synthetic, with fluted forend and checkered surfaces on the forend and pistol grip area. Barrel is 22 inch, chrome lined and threaded. Tube furnished is a new Carlson's .610 Improved Cylinder, and the SA20 has the same choke tube threads as the Benelli and Beretta Mobil Chokes, readily available throughout the country. Sight System is 5 post, .312 serrated ventilated rib that measures .22 high above the barrel at the forend; and with Snake Eyes Dead Ringer Rib Mounted fiber optic orange aperture type rear and green fiber optic dot front sight. Lug is dual gas port. Receiver carries a factory issue 14 slot Picatinny Rail for optics or light mounting. Chambering is 20 gauge, 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch interchangeably; and operators are advised to expect a break in period before cycling light load shells. Magazine capacity is 4 + 1 on 2 3/4 inch; or 3 + 1 on 3 inch, with 2 shot adapter easily removable. Length of pull is 14 1/8 inch from the .250 chrome plated smooth faced trigger to the end of the 1 inch black factory recoil pad. One improvement this SA20 has made over its Benelli and Beretta ancestors is that one need not hit any extraneous release button or lever before a shell goes from the magazine onto the chrome plated shell carrier. Safety is right hand shooter, behind the trigger. Buttstock drop is 1 1/2 inch at comb and 2 1/2 inch at the butt, with 1 inch right hand cant that is not southpaw friendly. Weight empty is 6 pounds 3 ounces, with center of gravity at the breech face. Finish is matte blue steel and matte black anodized alloy metal, with Mossy Oak Obsession synthetic stock and forend. Swivel studs are compact QD type. This SA20 comes to us from Mossberg’s distribution system. It has pulled light duty, likely with a sales rep or outdoor writer. We call it a factory demo. It has the letter U stamped beside its serial number. Surface detractions are negligible to minimal, only occasional faint streaking and edge wear, really no more than a person sees on new display guns in shops across the country. We rate it as Excellent, 90 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, mechanism, and choke threads are all bright and clean. If this Mossberg was fired, it was fewer than 50 times.
