Rusting makes the writing on the top surface of the barrel difficult to discern but the Savage name is visible. The stock has several linear cracks and the rifle is not functional. This rifle was found along a country road, by my father, while riding in a buckboard in Tehama County, CA, in about 1910 and has been in storage for the last 70 years.
