It has some old pitting, particularly along the left base. There are also some scrape marks on the adjuster and locknut knurls. See pictures. Keep in mind these are greatly magnified views. Sight works fine. Everything moves freely as it should. Locks up, locks down. Includes a peep insert with approx 0.12" aperture. Base is marked W1, which I believe is for Winchester Model 1894 rifles. It may well fit other rifles. I've read the following info online. I don't guarantee its accuracy, but it's from winchestercollector.org, so I assume it's accurate. The W1 sight was made for the Model 1894 in 25-35 WCF, 30 WCF, and 32 WS. The hole spacing is the same for all of the Winchester lever-action models. The only difference there can be between a W1 and a W2 sight is the stem height (elevation range).
