Rifle was manufactured in 1945 at the Birmingham Small Arms Company Limited(BSA) Birmingham, England. This WWII Enfield #4 MKI has a matching receiver, side plate and bolt. The detachable ten round magazine is unmarked a likely field replacement. The bore is mirror bright with sharp lands and no pitting. Rifle has two flip up peep sights one for 300 meters and another for 600 meters. Stock has the usual field type handling marks. Stock and hand guards are free of cracks. Butt plate is brass. There is an even patina on metal parts. Rifle was purchased by a collector around 2002 put away and never fired. Comes with original importer/distributor hang tag. Very small import mark at the muzzle area. This Enfield is a good example of an WWII production rifle. Rifle would be an good collectible or shooter. Rifle can be sold on a Curio & Relic ffl.
