This rifle features a checkered walnut stock and forend with brown Marlin recoil pad and black grip cap, blued steel receiver, factory drilled and tapped for scope mounts, with crossbolt safety, and 20" barrel with full length magazine tube and open sights. This is a pre-Remington JM stamped gun, and is in very good condition. The stock shows a few minor handling dings, but is still very nice with a nicely figured dark walnut stock. Bluing is excellent with a deep lustrous quality, and matte on top/bottom of receiver. This is the type of rifle that folks will watch for several days, then finally call the store, only to find out that it sold the day before. This is a gorgeous example of a pre-Remington Marlin, in a very desirable and hard-hitting caliber, and we don't see them nearly as often as we used to.
