Description: Sharps Model 1859 Carbine .50-70. Bearing the very early serial number 30045, it features a 22-inch barrel (sleeved, three groove) and elevator rear sight. CONDITION: The bore is very bright and strong. Mechanics operate properly as verified via live firing by a professional gunsmith. Barrel surface has a significant number of peening marks around the band. Metal markings are very good. Stock has a hairline crack on each side which will be repaired upon request. The price is firm and layaway is available. $3,500 plus shipping. Proceeds benefit the Boone and Crockett Club.
