Description: Here is a Walther PPK blue .380 that came to us from a large chain store liquidation. It is one of the last Walthers, we are told, that will bear Smith & Wesson’s markings. Correct Product code is VAH38006; this Walther, however, is marked V6H38006. That indicates it came into Smith & Wesson’s Corporate Headquarters from a situation of financial straits and it was retagged / overlabeled in Springfield, Massachusetts. Surface detractions are minimal, contact whitening on the matte uppers to the slide, and on the grip frame front strap. We rate it as Excellent, 90 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to concur or dissent. It is as new as any pistol that is in a dealer’s showcase on display. As far as the basic pistol, we cannot tell any difference in quality between it and its Interarms ancestors. Here is what the factory says about the PPK: Developed in 1931, the Walther PPK continues to thrill the shooting public and the legend lives on. The PPK-S, with a longer frame for one additional cartridge, and the PPK are now both produced in the USA. Features of the PPK and PPK-S include a firing pin safety, manual safety with decocking function, double action and single action trigger and extended beaver tail grip frame strut. Type is traditional double- and single-action semi-auto, long smooth double action pull on the first shot from a resting hammer position, and then, on our photo specimen, a crisp 5 pound single action trigger pull with minimal felt creep on subsequent shots until the shooter chooses to end the firing session by engaging the main safety which decocks the pistol. Caliber is .380 ACP. Grips are classic glossy checkered black synthetic with Walther banner; barrel is 3.35 inch matte stainless; construction is otherwise entirely blue steel; sights are red dot front and contrast red bar fixed rear; capacity is 6+1 rounds. Magazines are one new Mec-Gar Finger rest replacement and one Walther factory nickel flat plate, and that is how we got this pistol. Weight empty is a light 20.8 ounces. This fine pistol is every bit as good, or even better, than any of the Interarms Walthers, since it will digest sharp nosed hollow point ammunition like the Federal Hydra-Shok. It is a testament, as well, to the mechanical expertise of the Smith & Wesson factory workers in Houlton, Maine, who also brought us the 422/622 series of pistols. This pistol comes in its original factory box with fired brass envelope, instruction manual, both magazines, and factory issue red cable lock. It is excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. We do not believe it has been fired since it left the factory. Replacement price on this pistol in our area is upwards of $800.00, if a person can even find one. Blue PPK Walthers have never been plentiful. We're offering the PPK Blue in the photos, however, for only $ 589.00. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
