These are factory compliant 84 magazines that we have modified to fit the model 81. Manufacturer is Meccanica Del Sarca S.p.a. of Pietramurata, Italy. MDS is the principal Italian supplier to Pietro Beretta. Construction is heat treated carbon steel body and spring stop, music wire spring, and high impact tough lubed polymer or alloy floorplate; and polymer cartridge follower. Cartridge follower or magazine follower has been modified to cycle .32 ACP Ammunition, but it will also feed and cycle .380 ACP ammunition. The magazine body itself is unaltered; only the follower has been altered. The slide stop pedal has been recessed on the follower so that the pistol will no longer lock its slide open when the magazine runs dry. Operators, then, will need to keep count of their rounds expended. Backs are welded and smooth milled, with matte blue finish. Body has two round count ports on back, and round count will be correct with both calibers. Each magazine holds 10 rounds of .32 ACP caliber ammunition, or 10 rounds of .380 ACP caliber ammunition. They will fit, and cycle correctly in, a Beretta 81 in .32 ACP. They will also fit and cycle in their original parent 84 series Beretta, only they will not lock the slide open on the last shot in either pistol. They will not work in any other pistol.
