We wanted to keep the Bulletproof Tavor simple and authentic to the vision the Israeli military had in mind when they chose this system. That's why we chose to mount the Israeli Meprolight M-21 Reflex sight. Designed through close collaboration with Israeli Special Forces, the MEPRO M21 is battle proven, simple to use accurately and totally reliable. To improve upon an already amazing system, we'll also equip an enhanced trigger system from your choice of Geissele or Timney.
When the Israeli Military needed a 5.56mm weapon system that was more compact, reliable, and maneuverable they built one of their own designs. Their objective was to create an assault rifle that was more durable and easier to maintain while also being better suited to close-quarters combat and mechanized infantry roles. To meet these requirements they selected a bullpup design that would allow the weapon to be compact while keeping a long barrel able to achieve ballistically favorable high muzzle velocities. A long-stroke piston system was selected to ensure the weapon's reliability under adverse conditions. The Tavor is designed to be easily field-stripped, without the need for any additional tools and is waterproofed and its internal mechanism is sealed from outside elements, so that it can pass over-the-beach requirements. The Tavor also features a last round bolt catch, ambidextrous safety-selector, and comes equipped with a set of clever folding sights that disappear right into the top rail.
