This will also possibly fit Remington 700 or 40X centerfire single shot short action rifles as well, but bolt hole spacing must be verified first. This stock is a Remington factory custom shop position rifle stock with an aluminum bottom accessory rail which is fitted with an aluminum handstop that could possibly be an Al Freeland or it might be the factory original as seen in photos. The stock is in extremely good condition with only the lightest handling marks and an area inside the left edge of the barrel channel where someone sanded it to relieve contact with a barrel at one time. That area can't be seen when a barreled receiver is attached and it could be varnished to make it invisible if desired. The finish is factory original and has some very light eggshell patterning that is visible if held with the light at an angle. This stock has the original butt pad which shows virtually no wear. These stocks are exceedingly rare and especially in this condition. I have $325 invested in this rare beauty and that is all i am looking to get out of it.
