Markings: The import mark on the left side of the receiver contains the new serial number. It reads “C.A.I. GEORGIA VT. / CHINA M53 7.62 x 54R / T53015910”. The top of the barrel shank is marked “26”, with 3 Chinese characters, “1956.”, with the original serial number and with a small H in a circle. The bottom of the magazine and the top of the butt plate are each marked with the original serial number. The bolt has non-matching number
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. The bayonet locks into place correctly. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
