Has a 44 ½” Rd barrel with 895 marked on the tang and has a bayonet lug under the barrel. Has other faint markings. The lockplate is excellent and marked Marbeuge Manfr Arsenal where manufactured along with Charleville Arsenal. The buttplate has many markings probably unit markings. Has an old leather sling and has original sling swivels, the Ramrod is a replacement. Metal overall has a light grey patina finish with very little fine pitting.
