This lovely pre model 18 blued revolver retains 99% of its original blue finish, showing normal finish loss on the extractor rod and a light drag line around the cylinder. Features include a Baughman Quick Draw plain ramp base front sight and a micrometer click adjustable rear sight. Manufactured between 1949 and 1957 it continued as the Model 18. The un-numbered walnut diamond grips are rated as only as good with the large gold S&W medallions. The left grip has some damage to the bottom as seen in the photo. The revolver locks up as tightly as the day it left the factory. A truly wonderful older 5 screw revolver.
