Made in 2003 as a special auction pistol to benefit the USA Shooting Team in advance of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, serial number JRD4647 was never used for the intended purpose and recently discovered in the Team vault. Based on a SW1911 with stainless steel fame and slide, Novak's added their Reliability Package, Carry Bevel Package and tuned the trigger. They upgraded the slide with a 14K gold bead front sight, front serrations, black adjustable rear sight and a national match barrel bushing. The top of the slide was also serrated and the barrel recrowned (11 degrees). The front strap and steel mainspring housing were checkered (25 lines-per-inch). Spegal cocobolo triple diamond presentation grips and magazine base pad and special markings round out the package. One additional factory magazine with bumper pad and witness holes is included.
