Mechanically strong with good springs and hammer firing pin rotates as it should(see photos), grips are good with no cracks or chips. Metal finish has wear over all but no damage, a very nice unaltered pistol. I am not a artifact collector nor am I very knowledgeable about Indian artifacts. I have looked very closely at this pouch and it appears old and original to my untrained eye. The only infromation I could get from the estate was that it was brain tanned deer hide and was the style of northern plains Indians.
