Description: Made under US Government contract, during WWII for use by the US Military Forces. Why we see so few of these US Military shotguns from WWII? This, because they were sold off to the public following WWII and the vast majority of them were cut down and/or had civilian barrels fitted for hunting. This one marked as made by "J. Stevens Arms Co. Division of Savage Arms Corp. Chicopee Falls, Mass., USA". Left side of the barrel root is stamped the "P" proof mark, over the Ordnance Bomb, acceptance mark. Left side of receiver, forward is the same "P", over the "Ordnance Bomb" and further back "MOD 520-30" and to the rear of that, "U.S.". The sling swivel in the butt stock appears to be the same as seen on the US M03A3 rifle. The pump action is smooth and the lock-up is very tight. Overall length of the barrel is 20". Length of pull is 14". For a shotgun of 70+ years, this gun is in great condition. contact sashe at cfl. rr. com for more photos and details.
