Most of the screws are not messed with. The groove diameter is about .463 to .464. This is correct for this rifle, i believe. Years ago i fired 45-70 black powder loads with cast bullets ranging from 400 to 500 grains in this old rifle. Not bad, but the cases would swell a bit. The correct diameter paper patched bullets are available to the serious reloader. The only thing is the the cleaning rod is missing. Thanks, Louie combat vet. No FFL required.
