HG109205 Here is Smith & Wesson's pocket rocket concealed carry pistol chambered in the volatile .357 Sig caliber. This is a 109205 variant of the M&P 357. As far as specs on this variant, Weight empty, no magazine, is 22 oz; weight fully loaded will be a bit over 32 ounces. Overall length is 6.7 inches from the muzzle to the back of the grip frame strut; 4.3 inch height; and very nice thin 1.2 inch width. Barrel length is 3 1/2 inches with a 5 3/4 inch sight radius. This pistol, like all M&Ps, is full time double action, striker fire action, with a very consistent 6.5 pound trigger pull that only travels .300 inches from rest to fire and resets in only .14 inches. Frame is Zytel Polymer, and barrel and slide are Black Melonite finished stainless. Sights are factory 3 dot steel Novak low-carry, dovetailed into the slide. The frame, as the photos show, incorporates a Picatinny Weaver type rail for light and laser mounting. The M&P series takes all comers for ease of handling, positive feel, and reliability and consistency under the most adverse field and combat situations. This variant has a firing pin safety, a trigger safety, and a Magazine Safety; that is, it will Not fire from a loaded chamber with its magazine removed. It comes in its original box with all its red cable lock, instruction manual, fired brass envelope dated from 2012, and its never executed factory registration card. It even has both its interchangeable grip frame back strap pieces, so that the operator can easily alter the grip frame contour and circumference. This pistol comes with a total of 2 factory Magazines: one flat plate and one finger rest, as the photos show. The standard 10 shot .40 caliber magazines will interchange with .357 Sig caliber pistols, of course. Photo specimen and less than a half dozen of its mates came to us quite fortuitously through the Smith & Wesson Distribution System. Rumor is, these are discontinued.
