These rifles were used into the 1960's as reserve weapons for possible use against a feared potential Soviet invasion. Only the barrel and magazine floorplate have matching numbers. (There is a stamped matching number on the receiver, that I suspect was placed there by the importer.) It does have a cleaning rod - many do not. The bores of these rifles were generally neglected and this one is rough. It does have prominent lands and grooves. Although complete, its primary value is derived from its unique stock marking. I have not fired it. It does, however, pass a mil-spec field gage test for headspace. In order to receive a full refund (less return shipping), the rifle must be received back in EXACTLY the same condition that it was in when it was sent and not fired. Inspection period: 24 hours - you should know within minutes if the rifle meets my description.
