Here is a set of factory Smith & Wesson Goncalo Alves Magna style service grips for any K or L Frame Square Butt revolver. For some reason, these grips have been modified, shortened on the bottom front. Revolvers they will fit includes Smith & Wesson Models 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 45, 48, 56, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 581, 586, 617, 648, 681 and 686 in square butt grip frame only, mostly manufactured prior to 1996. Model 12 owners may need a substantial amount of fitting, since many of the Model 12s have thinner-than-normal grip frames. They will not fit revolvers that have a round butt grip frame. Any shoppers who are not clear of the difference can look at the accompanying grip frame drawings among these photos. This pair served with its law enforcement handler, who beveled the front butt edge off for some reason, and they leave about 1/4 inch of frame showing at the front, as the photos show. We have applied Tru Oil finish to them. Residual wear is moderate, mostly on the right panel, as the photos show. We have applied tru-oil finish; we’re talking about wear that is still visible, though, residual. We estimate these grips were early 1970s production. Checkering shows only moderate wear on the left panel, and factory logos show some bronzing. We rate this set as Good, 60 percent vicinity; but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. We’re offering the factory, but modified, Smith & Wesson grips in the photos for only $ 25.00.
