Serial # range is 1381XXX. This pistol has wonderful provenance. It was issued to Charles McDougall who commanded a LCT (Landing Craft, Tank) that landed 4 Sherman tanks on Utah Beach before H-hour on D-Day. Included is his near mint military issue Boyt holster. Note the tie-down has never been unraveled. McDougall wrote his name on the back of the holster. Included with the gun are copies of his discharge papers, his notes on his military career and a copy of "America in WWII" article of his D-Day experience. In the article in the photo, he is the guy on the far left. This historical firearm is at least 98% condition with all the correct proof marks and the two magazines are stamped with the correct proof marks. Mr. McDougall's widow has asked me to find a good home for this family heirloom.
