Originally a 1944 Longbranch No4 Mk1* converted to Mk4 by Fazakerley in 1955- see trigger assembly. This is one of the last modifications to the Enfield design- by Fazakerley. Faz converted the receiver body to MK4 during 1955. This design has the trigger assembly mounted on the body forging producing greater trigger control and accuracy. If you want to build a hunting rifle or accurate Enfield, this is where you start. The barrel, marked 1953,is clean with strong lands. [See photos] This combination includes the MK4 site, adopted April 23, 1943, the trigger assembly, and front site base.. There is no rust, the receiver is covered with an oil after removing storage grease. There is a crown over GR located on right rear receiver and top of barrel.
