These pistols are sound mechanically and functioned as they should (they even have rifleing in the barrels.. ....see photos) however they are over 100 years old and I don't recommend shooting them even with original pin fire ammo. The grips are in good condition with no cracks or chips (see photos). The metal shows that they have been used for nearly 150 years (see photos). Although I am not an expert, these pistols both function perfectly (including half cock) (The triggers drop down at full cock...see photos).
