There is a safety lever on the left side by the back of the slide. It works fine. The magazine drops out smoothly; just by presing on the clip release & letting gravity do its job. the grips are factory black plastic w/the indian chief symbol on each side. The gun shows holster wear on the leading metal surfaces.
