Government inspectors marks on sword and scabbard match as illustrated in the photos, marked GWC , 1864 manufactured date. Very nice collectible item from one the most important battles in American history. Scabbard is cracked and has been taped together with electrical tape,but keep in mind the age and one might expect wear such as this.The sword is very clean and the real shinning value.
