The bayonet shows all the signs of heavy field use but remains in great condition; the blade is free from damage or defect, has no edge or tip damage. It has a great edge and is very sharp. The hand grips are in excellent shape as are the bayonet clips, hilt and cross guard. The USM8A1 "TWB" Scabbard shows all the signs of heavy field use but is in very good shape as well as can been seen from the pictures. The original paint is worn in some areas and has some light scratches. There are no deep scratches or damage to the scabbard at all. The webbing is in great condition and has been well preserved. There are no damages or defects to the webbing, belt clip, throat plate, drag tip or body. I have provided many pictures so I can properly represent this item. This item is being sold in its "original condition" and has not been repaired or altered in any way and was purchased directly from the U.S. Government.
