Made in the late 70's or early 80's when stocks and parts were American made. 39 inch 7/8" straight octagon barrel, full stock, and percussion lock. Stock is of high curly maple. Percussion lock is color case hardened and appears to be made by L&R (can't be sure). Double set triggers function very well. Barrel is browned and has no modern marking. Barrel is either Green Mountain or Douglas (no markings, can't be sure). Bore is bright with no rust or pitting. Rifling is crisp. Brass trigger guard and butt plate. Antler nose cap and fish shaped lock screw side plate inlay. 14.25 length of pull. Well balanced and not barrel heavy. A beautiful original Hatfield. More pictures available upon request.
