This item was built by Roy Weatherby himself, He utilized commercial FN Mauser actions to build his rifles in the legendary Weatherby Magnum cartridges prior to manufacturing the well known MK V action. These rifle were produced in his small shop in South Gate, California. This item is in great shape with a 24” barrel with a shiny bore and checkered wood stock. The blueing is in really nice shape with just a bit of wear on the bolt handle, bolt stop and bottom metal. The stock is in great shape with no visible scratches or dings in the wood. Mounted on top is a Leupold M8 fixed 6 power scope with fine cross hairs, some scratches are visible in the finish on the scope body. For Weatherby fans, this is definitely a collectors piece and the rifle is in incredibly good condition for a 60 year old rifle.
