Accepted Payment Methods: Returns: No Returns Description: This is as can be seen a Remington Model 742 30-06 Caliber. This old girl has seen little use, as the stock has almost No handling makings. I have run two mags through it eight rounds total and all ran perfect, with no sign of issue. The inner rails have been inspected by a third generation gun smith and he stated that all looks good. Very little wear, which is to be expected, but none of the wear seen is Excessive. He added that the 742 Has gotten a bad rap by guys that load their own shells, The few guys that think because the 30-06 shell will hold more powder than the recipe calls for, it is a good idea to fill it up ( Wrong). Now the bluing is 90% or better, There is NO rust or pitting, no signs it has been re-blued, and the wood I would say is untouched. I sure enjoyed shooting this 30-06 with it's low auto recoil. I do have more pictures of this gun and can email them. Loading picture On the guns America site right now seems to be an issue ( I found loading one at a time to work best).
