From its home in New England comes this attractive Davis Arms P32 Automatic Pistol. From its P130000 range serial number, it was manufactured around 1995. Manufacturer was Davis Industries of Chino, CA, who enjoyed a brief splash among the Jennings Raven Jiminez family in the 1980s and 1990s. Type is blowback action, striker fired semi automatic pistol. Construction is mostly zinc alloy or zamak, with steel barrel liner, firing pin, springs, extractor, and internal parts. Chambering is .32 ACP Caliber, magazine capacity is 6 rounds, so 6 + 1 fully loaded capacity. Barrel is 2 3/4 inch six groove left hand. Safety is left side mounted short lever, and it locks the slide so that the pistol cannot be unloaded on safe position. Slide is 1.06 inches wide, overall length is 5 3/8 inches, and height is 3 3/4 inches. Ejection is straight up through the top, but hot brass down a shirt collar won’t bother most of us if we’re scared enough. Sights are slide integral blade front, solid rib, and integral shouldered notch rear. Trigger is zamak alloy .150 smooth face, pulls at 8 pounds with substantial felt creep. Grips are laminated hardwood. Weight empty is 23 3/8 ounces with center of gravity at the extractor pin. Finish is chrome plated, with gray anodized trigger, lever, mag release, and magazine floorplate. Surface wear on this P32 is moderate, principally moderate streaking to the side of the slides, and finish loss or weakness on the trigger and levers.
