Founded in 1990, Cooper Firearms of Montana, Inc is a relatively new player in the domestic rifle market. The company was founded by a small group of employees from Kimber of Oregon, including Dan Cooper, who decided to part ways with their former employer and open their own shop for premium quality rifles. Together, Cooper’s team had over 50 years of combined experience, so it didn’t take long for Cooper to establish a reputation for making some of the finest shooting bolt-actions many of which are adorned in high-grade wood in the US. Another attribute of a Cooper rifle is extreme accuracy. Each Cooper comes with a 1/2 MOA accuracy guarantee and a test target to prove it (pictured).

The Phoenix is a synthetic copy of the Montana Varminter. The stock is made using hand-laid synthetics with Kevlar reinforcing material that surrounds an aircraft-grade aluminum bedding block, and a Wilson Arms stainless steel, straight taper, premium match grade barrel.

The .220 Swift is a semi-rimmed rifle cartridge developed by Winchester and introduced in 1935. It was the first factory loaded rifle cartridge with a muzzle velocity of over 4,000 ft/s. Until the introduction of the .223 WSSM the .220 Swift was the fastest commercial cartridge in the world!
