All numbers match. The shotgun features a 26'' barrel (26.5 actual), double bead sights, a one-piece extractor, and dual triggers. The front trigger fires the right barrel, rear fires the left. This was manufactured in 1937 after Savage arms acquired Fox circa 1930. The top of the barrel is marked "SPECIAL ALLOW ----- FORGED STEEL" on the right barrel, and "SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION, UTICA, N.Y. USA" on the left barrel. Gun is in good mechanical condition, barrel locks tight with no movement, extractor, hinge, action are all in perfect working condition. There is about 75% bluing that remains on barrels. The bores are pristine. Wood is in above average condition for the age but has one small corner piece near the action where a wood repair was made. Wood finish is natural with linseed oil and wax. There are some minor nicks and indentations. The original endplate was removed and replaced with a Pachmayr recoil pad. LOP = 14'', DAC = 1 7/8'', DAH = 3'', bore diameter = 0.730''.
