It has a magnum receiver and will chamber both 2.75" or 3" magnum ammo. Magazine capacity is 4 + 1. This gun is parkerized, the barrel bore is bright with no pitting and the action is in excellent shape. It's a police trade-in with the usual minor scratches & dings, but it was shot very little. It has the numbers "M 503" stamped into the receiver on both sides. This is the precursor to the Police Magnums built from 1997 on. It's a top-of-the-line battle gun built for maximum reliability and endurance. It won't fail you in your time of need. I'm a factory trained Remington 870 armorer and I completely went through this gun so I know it is mechanically sound with plenty of life left. It ran flawlessly when I test fired it. One of the advantages of a police trade-in is that it was maintained by police armorers with regular maintenance & cleaning. In researching the serial number, this gun was manufactured in the 1990 to 1991 range. There are no plastic or MIM parts used in this gun (unlike the Express model).
