The walnut wood is aged to a uniform color with no cracks or chips however, there are a few small dings and a light scratch and finish loss at the toe (see photos). The stock has a brass nose cap, 2 brass thimbles & entry thmble, flush inlayed brass trigger guard and side plate as well as 10 additional decorative brass inlays. The two piece crescent butt plate is flush fitted. All the fit and finish on this gun is excellent (see photos). The metal finish of the barrel is dark blue, shows no wear but does have some scratches on the top barrel flat (see photos). The gun is 55" over all length with a 39"barrel (the bore looks new....I have not cleaned this gun) There is a adjustable rear sight and a blade front sight. I don't know who made the double set triggers or the lock but the barrel was made in Spain (see photos). At the sale they said this Custom rifle was hand built by a talented contemporary gunsmith within the last 50 years. I can not confirm that. They had no additional history about the gun however, everything appears top quality to my untrained eye.
