This particular gun, sn1548646 built in 1956, is one of the most difficult Model 12's to find. Most experienced Winchester Model 12 gurus are acutely aware that few true 28ga. M12's exist, with most being faked and upgraded from 20ga. guns. Finding a factory Model 12 Pigeon Grade in 28ga. is near impossible. Outfitted with 26" barrel choked Improved Cylinder, proper donut post vent rib, mirror bores, no marks or damage anywhere, 99.5%+ factory blue throughout, jeweled action, gorgeous XXX Pigeon Grade wood with near perfect finish and checkering and 14 1/8" LOP to factory butt plate, no cracks or repairs, finest workmanship throughout, untouched FACTORY ORIGINAL IN ALL WAYS.
