Most of these guns are found with skeet chokes and are less desirable. This gun has 28" barrels marked and IC/Mod. As you compare this gun to others, keep in mind that the most desirable Superposed guns are the long tang, round knob guns built before 1966. like this one,. This Gun , sn#5291 built in 1952, is all factory original and still retains about 98% overall condition with the metal 99%. The wood is original to the gun and the butt stock has Browning Skeet Style Pad The finish is factory original and there are only a few handling marks from being afield. Guns built after 1966 were prone to salt contamination and rust because of the manner in which Browning cured their wood. Not all guns were affected, but the market place still has an aversion to the later guns with short tangs, and some even with square knob pistol grips. This is a great upland gun that is balanced to perfection and light enough to carry all day afield.
