Description:
Enfield Number 2 Mark 1*, revolver, double action only, .38 S&W caliber, snub nose modification. This WWII era revolver was made originally with a 5 inch barrel for British tank crews. There were three variants of this revolver, all original designed for British .380/200 ammunition which is substantially the .38 S&W caliber. This is the middle variant, Number 2 Mark 1*. This model is double action only. After the end of WWII, these revolvers were imported into the US and the barrel was modified to a snub nose or shortened barrel (approximately 2 inch), recrowned and the front sight re-installed. The lanyard ring was removed.
This particular revolver has all of the original finish either worn or polished off. The mechanical function appears to be in good order.
