Description: The Magnum Tanto is one of Cold Steel's classic designs, coveted by collectors and the martial arts community. These two knives come in San Mai III steel that offers a long-lasting, razor sharp cutting edge. These Cold Steel Tanto Magnum knives come with the fine leather sheath both made in Japan, not the current nylon sheath. The knives also come with rubber Kraton handle and a tsuba-style stainless (sword) guard. The tapered, solid steel pommel was designed to concentrate the full force of a crushing blow. Both knives are made in Japan, not like the newer models made in Taiwan. Both knives are extremely sharp and beautiful. These are the last of the Cold Steel Hattori knives made in Japan. The Magnum Tanto XII has a 12” Satin Finished San Mai steel blade, 17.5” overall length. The Magnum Tanto IX has a 9” Satin Finished San Mai steel blade, 14.5” overall length. Both knives are new in the original Cold Steel boxes. Additional pics available upon request. Certified check up front, will ship out when check clears. No credit cards.
