Description: An Unusual, special-ordered-features, Carbine with 2/3 magazine, flip-up adjustable carbine ladder rear sight and King's blade front sight, Col. Townsend Whalen shotgun-style buttstock with Winchester black buttplate and buyer ordered gun without Saddle Ring. Barrel and tube have 99.9% original rich blue. Receiver blue has mostly browned (see photo) but has some nice dark blue in protected areas at rear. Upper tang marked as Model 94 and gun was made during the Roaring 20's (in 1924) when workmen took great pride in their work. All stampings are nice and sharp. Bore is shiny, sharp lands and grooves, and very accurate. Carbines of this configuration are very rare and this will make a superb and interesting addition to your collection. Less than 1/10th of 1% of Carbines had special length magazines. Even fewer had this style of buttstock. A once in a lifetime offering.
