Here are South Korean Government Contractor Magazines for the M-1 Carbine. Manufacturer is KCI, Kyungchang Industry Corp., Paju City, Republic of Korea – South Korea. KCI is the premiere military industry manufacturer in all of Asia. Construction is two piece, or split back type, entirely blue steel, serrated sides with quad roll pin lower back closure. Each magazine holds 30 rounds of .30 M-1 Carbine caliber ammunition. Each magazine bears a UU, World War II Underwood contractor style stamp on its back side, but these are current production magazines. They will fit any US .30 M1 or M2 Carbine, or their Universal, Plainfield, Iver Johnson, and Kahr Arms / Auto Ordnance descendants. They work just fine in the Universal Enforcer Pistol built on the M1 Carbine Platform. They will Not work in a .256 Winchester chambered firearm. Each magazine comes in its original factory bar coded bag. Replacement pricing for these in our area often runs upwards of $40 apiece, and they’re not always easy to find.
